All set for postgraduate expo

Staff from across seven faculties will be on hand to provide information to prospective postgraduates at next month's Monash Postgraduate Information Expo 2001.

To be held on 16 October at the Melbourne Town Hall, this annual university-wide event is designed to complement individual faculty events by giving prospective postgraduate students the opportunity to gain information about all Monash postgraduate courses under the one roof.

Manager of University Marketing Ms Cathy Kirkham said this was the third year Monash had held a university-wide postgraduate information expo, and the need for such an event was reflected in the fact that seven out of 10 faculties would be
participating this year.

"I want to thank all staff involved for their contribution to the organisation of the expo and for their willingness to cooperate with the implementation and to work on the day to provide helpful advice to prospective postgraduate students," Ms Kirkham said.

Faculties taking part in this year's event are Arts, Business and Economics, Education, Engineering, Information Technology, Law and Science.
