Computing services unavailable

A number of university-wide computer services will be unavailable from 7 am on Saturday 17 November to noon on Sunday 18 November, due to a full power shutdown of building 28 on Clayton campus.

Information Technology Services requires the shutdown to carry out essential maintenance work on the power infrastructure supporting the building.

The services will be unavailable to all users regardless of campus or location and are not limited to staff and students of Clayton campus. They include:

  • SAP;
  • Callista;
  • Central Library Computing Services;
  • Student email;
  • Staff email;
  • Monash web services hosted in building 28 including the Monash home page;
  • Services linked to my.monash portal;
  • Web enrolment system (WES);
  • Musis;
  • SDS;
  • Staff Novell services, including shared drives and network drives;
  • Student Novell services affecting computing labs;
  • Student printing;
  • Research computing affecting SPSS on Unix hosts, Hotblack etc;
  • Teaching services;
  • Newsgroups.

Some other services may also be affected at this time.
