Monash Memo - articles - 21 November 2001
Performing at a new venueMonash staff might recognise a familiar voice when they tune in to radio station FOX FM on their way to work in the future. Venue manager for the Performing Arts Precinct and Monash Arts graduate Ms Jo Stanley has taken up the offer of a prime weekday spot on the popular radio station. The offer comes just 12 months after Ms Stanley, a seasoned Melbourne comedy performer, began a Sunday night spot on FOX with on-air partner Ms Jodie J. Hill. The duo will now entertain listeners with their topical program each weekday morning from 9 am to 12 noon. Aside from her reputation as a stand-up comedian, Ms Stanley has also chalked up numerous television and film appearances. She said this week that while it was difficult to leave Monash and the Performing Arts Precinct, the morning spot with FOX FM would open many doors for her to further develop her writing and performing. |
