Professor Laurence Dooley has been appointed Professor of Multimedia Technology at the Gippsland School of Computing and Information Technology.
Professor Dooley, from the University of Glamorgan in Wales, has had extensive research and teaching experience in the area of multimedia systems, signal processing and media technology. At Glamorgan, he headed the Interdisciplinary Multimedia Technology Group.
Although based at Gippsland, Professor Dooley will have a focus on multimedia across the faculty. He will take up his position in April.
