Academic Board nominations

Nominations are being sought for vacancies on Monash University's Academic Board.

Professors and teaching staff have until noon on Wednesday, 28 April 1999 to nominate for positions of office for the term of 1 July 1999 to 30 June 2001. A ballot will be held on Friday, 21 May 1999 if nominations exceed the number of vacancies.

The vacancies are: Art & Design (one teaching staff member); Arts (five teaching staff); Business & Economics (five professorial, seven teaching staff); Engineering (four professorial, three teaching staff); Education (two teaching staff); Information Technology (one teaching staff); Medicine (three professorial, two teaching staff); Law (two professorial, three teaching staff); Science (two professorial, one teaching staff); and Pharmacy (one professorial, three teaching staff).

Nominations should be lodged with the returning officer, Mr Phillip Siggins, manager, Secretariat (Clayton), or the assistant returning officers. They are Ms Christine Body (Academic Services, Gippsland), Ms Margaret Duncan (Administration, Pharmacy), Ms Annette Leftis (Student Relations Inquiries, Caulfield), Ms Jill McLachlan (Administration, Berwick) or Mr Steven Lind (Student Relations Inquiries, Peninsula).

In nominating and voting, Monash staff are asked to consider Monash University's commitment to equal representation of women and men on committees.
