Achievements recognised

Trainees working at Monash, Ms Sharon Veivers and Mr Wesley Lal, have been awarded the Certificate III in Business (Administration) and the Certificate II in Technology respectively.

The awards are nationally recognised qualifications offered under the university's Indigenous Employment and Career Development Strategy.

Mr Lal joined Monash in 1997 as a trainee in the Smart Shop on Clayton campus, while Ms Veivers, who currently works in the Department of Asian Languages and Studies, completed her initial training in the Faculty of Engineering office.

Congratulating the pair at a recent awards ceremony, deputy vice-chancellor Professor Peter Darvall said the university was proud of their achievements.
