As a result of the increase in university planning initiatives and the necessity to ensure alignment between functional and operational plans and academic policies, Monash University seeks to appoint a Director, Planning and Academic Affairs. The Director, Planning and Academic Affairs, is responsible to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Public Affairs) and will interact with the Vice-Chancellor's Group, deans, administrative heads, campus directors, and Academic Board and a number of its committees. The Director, Planning and Academic Affairs:
To perform this role the Director, Planning and Academic Affairs, must have experience in developing academic policies to enhance teaching and learning standards within higher education. The incumbent must have experience in a senior academic leadership role, with the ability to manage and coordinate strategic planning. The position will be offered as a three-year fixed-term appointment and will be at professorial level. Existing academic staff not already at professorial level will be appointed to a fixed-term professorship and if they have an ongoing appointment may retain a 'fall-back' to their ongoing position.
