A team of students from the Monash Law faculty swept all before them at the Australian Law Students' Association (ALSA) conference at Hobart recently.
According to dean of Law Professor Stephen Parker, the students scored an historic first when they won three Grand Final competitions, beating the top students from 35 other law schools in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
"The faculty is extremely proud of our students' individual and team achievement, which is without precedent in the history of ALSA," he said.
"We have been sponsoring our students to attend ALSA conferences for a number of years. The scale of this win is not only a reflection of the talents of our students, but also very gratifying in terms of the importance we attach to providing our students with practical lawyering skills and experience as part of their law studies at Monash."
