Monash Marketing department academics Associate Professor Frank Alpert and head of department Professor Peter Fitzroy were last week honoured with awards at the Australia-New Zealand Marketing Academy annual conference.

The award for Distinguished Marketing Researcher went to Associate Professor Alpert and for Distinguished Marketing Educator to Professor Fitzroy.

Associate Professor Alpert said it was "extraordinary" that both top awards should go to one marketing department.
