Working together for safer communities

International trends emphasise the importance of developing a culture of care and concern that supports early help-seeking behaviour and early intervention, as well as providing at-risk students and staff with appropriate support and mental health services. Early intervention can prevent the development of more serious illness and promote full recovery.

The following resources, and the initiatives that they describe, aim to give staff and students confidence in recognising and responding to observable behaviours in a systematic way in order to prevent escalation to violence or other serious incidents.
