Monash University Merit Scholarships

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• completed Australian Year 12 or IB in 2009, or
• a New Zealand citizen completing the NCEA level 3 examination in 2009, or
• a student that has completed Year 12 or IB in a previous year and not undertaken any previous study at a tertiary level and applying for a new course at Monash through VTAC in 2009, and
• intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible Year 12 students based on their ENTER score or equivalent. Students must have achieved an ENTER score or equivalent of at least 95.00.

Value

$6000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.

Variable, depending on funding.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship can be deferred.
