2010 Coursework Scholarships and Bursaries Applications

Monash offers an extensive package of scholarships and bursaries for students in coursework programs, to encourage and reward academic excellence and to ensure equitable access to a world-class Monash education.

In 2009, the University awarded more than 1700 new scholarships and bursaries totalling over 15 million dollars to students studying on an Australian campus.Coursework scholarships are offered for study in a Monash university award course, or for study in specific faculties or courses. They can be divided into three broad categories based on how applicants are selected – on academic merit, equity grounds or a combination of both.

Monash applications

2010 applications open 1 August and close 31 October 2009.

Only current Monash students can apply for scholarships and bursaries using the Monash application form. Domestic direct applicants can apply for scholarships once they have received a course offer and a Monash ID. Direct international course applicants are not able to submit a scholarship application and will automatically be considered for international scholarships at the same time a course application is submitted to Monash University.

VTAC scholarship applications

2010 applications open 3 August and close 5pm, 30 October 2009.

Students who apply for a course through the Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre (VTAC), must apply for Monash scholarships and bursaries through the VTAC application portal.You will automatically be considered for all scholarships and bursaries at Monash, unless there are different application processes as indicated on the coursework scholarships website. An assessment will be made based on the application and supporting documentation provided to VTAC.

Enhancement studies students and direct domestic applicants must apply for scholarships using the VTAC scholarships portal.
