Brian MacKenzie Gippsland Fund Honours Bursary

The Brian Mackenzie Gippsland fund has been established to honour the life of Emeritus Professor Brian Mackenzie, who was Pro Vice Chancellor of Monash University Gippsland from 2000 to 2007. This bursary aims to encourage Gippsland undergraduates to begin their research careers.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  • an Australian citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent resident visa, or a permanent humanitarian visa, and
  • a full time student intending to enrol in an honours degree at the Monash Gippsland campus, and
  • from one or more of Monash University's defined equity or personal disadvantage groups.

Selection criteria

Awarded to students based on need.

Value and number available

$3000 one-off payment. One bursary is available for 2012.

Deferment

This bursary cannot be deferred.

Application Information

All students that submit an application for the Monash Gippsland Honours Scholarship will be automatically assessed.
