CORE Honours Degree Bachelor of Medical Science Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
  • a commencing student intending to enrol in the Honours Degree of Bachelor of Medical Science at a Monash campus in Australia, and
  • supervised by a staff member in the Centre for Obesity Research and Education (CORE)

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible student based on academic merit. Students must have achieved a minimum weighted average mark of 80 per cent in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (includes graduate entry students).

Value and number available

$10,000 per 48 credit points of study up to a maximum of one year only. One scholarship is available each year.

Retention

Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and complete and submit all assessment tasks and hurdles for each semester.

Deferment

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
