Monash University Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Scholarships

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
  • studying Australian Year 12 or IB in 2009, or
  • a commencing or continuing postgraduate (coursework) student, and
  • enrolled or intending to enrol in any of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences’ degrees at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible Year 12 students based on their ENTER score or equivalent, and/or selection ranking in the case of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery. Students must have achieved an ENTER score or equivalent of at least 95.00.

Postgraduate students will be selected based on highest academic performance with a minimum of a high distinction weighted average mark (80 per cent) in previous tertiary studies.

Value

$6000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship can be deferred.
