Medical and Aged Care Group Gippsland Bursary

Eligibilty

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian Citizen, and
• a commencing or continuing student, and
• enrolled or intending to enrol full-time in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the Monash Gippsland Campus, and
• from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantage groups, and
• able to demonstrate a significant tie to the Gippsland region, including at least 5 years residency in any of the local government areas of Bass Coast, Baw Baw, East Gippsland, Latrobe, South Gippsland, or Wellington and an interest in practising in the Gippsland region upon completion of the degree.

Selection criteria

Awarded to eligible students based on need and strength of tie to the Gippsland region.

Value and number available

$6,000 per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree up to a maximum of 4 years. One scholarship is available.

Retention

Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress.

Deferability

This bursary cannot be deferred.
