Monash Gippsland - Rotary Indigenous ScholarshipRotary Clubs in Gippsland have been long term supporters of Indigenous students and are committed to supporting local students to gain training to be able to help their communities. It wishes to increase the level of local participation of the Rotary Clubs in the process, especially in on-going support and mentoring of students. EligibilityTo be eligible, you must be:
* Includes students in graduate entry medical degree, Diploma of Tertiary Studies and associate degrees. Selection CriteriaAwarded to eligible students on the basis of need. Further consideration will be given to students based on ENTER score or equivalent. Preference will be given to students enrolling in an undergraduate medicine, nursing, health and social and community welfare degrees. In the absence of eligible applicants from these courses, consideration may be given to students from other undergraduate courses. Preference may also be given to a resident of Gippsland, however consideration will be given to indigenous students from other areas. If the successful student is not from Gippsland, Rotary will attempt to partner the student with another Rotary Club. Value$6000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree. Number Available in 2010Up to three. RetentionRecipients must maintain a minimum of a pass weighted average mark (50 per cent) and maintain a link with the sponsoring Rotary Club. DeferabilityThis scholarship cannot be deferred. |
