Peter and Barbara Kolliner Jewish Study Abroad Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of a permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
  • an international student, and
  • enrolled or intending to enrol in an undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree and in one of the following study abroad units offered by the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia:
    • ATS3414/4314/APG4314 Seeking Justice; South Africa and Rwanda*
    • ATS3286/4286/APG4286 Final journey: Remembering the Holocaust*
    • ATS3287/4287/APG5287 War and Peace: Models of Conflict Resolution

*Please note: these units are offered in alternate years as winter or summer intensives. Final Journey: Remembering the Holocaust will be offered in 2012, while Seeking Justice; South Africa and Rwanda will be offered in 2013.

Selection criteria

Awarded to students based on academic achievement. Financial disadvantage may also be taken into consideration. Preference will be given to students taking the subject at fourth-year level.

Value and number available

$1500 one-off payment. One scholarship is available

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
