Monash Salary Options Bursary

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• a commencing undergraduate student, and
• intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery Extended Rural Cohort at a Monash campus in Australia, and
• from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantage groups, and
• able to demonstrate leadership qualities, and
• reside in the Northern Victoria region as determined by Monash University.

Selection criteria

Awarded on the basis of need to eligible students who demonstrate:

• leadership qualities
• a knowledge and expressed interest in rural health
• a commitment to work in rural health
• a willingness to promote rural health as a positive career choice.
