Manufacture and animal testing of the radiopharmaceutical oxidronate, a bone imaging agent
* This Summer Vacation project involves the use of radiopharmaceuticals. The student will not be exposed to any radiation risk. Manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals as part of this project is for the 'cold' (unlabelled) drug. Radioactivity will only be involved at the verification stage and that will be done by trained nuclear medicine technicians in correctly shielded conditions.
