Winter and Summer Research Scholarships Program

Winter and Summer research scholarships aim to:

• provide students with experience in an area of research
• provide students with an insight into future opportunities in the area of research
• encouragement and attract high quality students interested in pursuing a career in research and/or academia.

Recipients partake in research-related activities in the department offering the scholarship, and will be matched to a specific project. The project will run over either the winter or summer break. Applications are invited from students interested in furthering their studies via an honours program, or who are considering a career in research for the primary purpose of furthering their education.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
• an international student, and
• normally have completed at least the second year of an undergraduate degree, and
• not an employee of Monash University.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving students based on grade average. Applicants will be matched to projects available, and must also have completed any pre-requisite units specified for the project.

Variable, depending on the faculty and the available funding.
