Questions

  • What is the current scope, format and cost of ICT Services at Monash?
  • How effective and efficient is the current approach to ICT Services at Monash?
  • What are the key opportunities for improvement - through a Shared Services model or other means?

Description process

KPMG are using a description process including workshops and interviews with key stakeholders (top down) and (bottom-up) discovery of servers, assets and functions to build a complete picture of ICT services in the University. The KPMG project team is working with IT managers in all Faculties and Divisions on a substantial list of information regarding:

  • Infrastructure
  • Human Resources
  • Planning
  • Services, process and procedures

This work will provide a baseline from which the new Shared Services model can be designed, service quality enhanced and cost savings can be identified in Phase 2.
