Inclusive Practices Student Equity Committee (IPSEC)

The Inclusive Practices Student Equity Committee (IPSEC) reports to the Equal Opportunity Committee on policies, procedures and strategies relating to student equity and monitors the University's progress in achieving its equity goals.

Terms of Reference of the Inclusive Practices Student Equity Committee:

  1. To make recommendations to the Equal Opportunity Committee on the development and adoption of policies and of the revision of policies and strategies on student equity and access, in particular to recommend strategies for mainstreaming the planning, funding and implementation of equity programs in the University.
  2. To promote effective communication and understanding of the principles of the Inclusive Practices Student Equity Plan within the University's campuses in Australia and overseas, and to make clear Monash's commitment to equity and access in all facets of its operations.
  3. To monitor the University's progress in implementing and achieving its equity and access objectives for students and advise where additional strategies are necessary.
  4. To consider and report on any matters referred to the Committee by the Equal Opportunity Committee and other relevant committees.
