Overview

Optimise your Career Progression will provide a framework for each participant to follow and will allow self exploration and assessment of skills, values and personal aspirations. With their expertise and local knowledge Talent 2 Career Consultants will work with each participant to help develop a planned career development approach.

Intended Outcomes

  • Individuals will feel more confident and have greater clarity on their overall career direction at Monash University
  • Have the knowledge and skills to know how to prepare to secure a new job

  • Understanding and Managing Change - acknowledge career change as a significant change in people's lives
  • Professional Self Assessment - work-based values and motivators as well defining 9 universal LEAD competencies
  • Curruculum Vitae (Resume) preparation and development
  • Responding to key Selection Criteria
  • Job Search skills
  • Developing Interview skills

Learning Approach

This module utilises individual activites, discussions and small group work. Participants are guided through the workbook which includes activites and resourceful information when applying for jobs as part of a career change process.
