  • No prior knowledge of Excel is expected. 
  • Use of Windows operating system and working with files and folders

Overview

This course is suitable for those users who have no experience in using a spreadsheet application.

Intended Outcomes

To master spreadsheet concepts and functionality using MS Excel 2003

Course Content

On completion of this course participants will be able to: 

  • understand the origins of and basic uses for spreadsheets
  • start Microsoft Excel, navigate workbooks and exit correctly
  • create, modify, save and close a simple workbook
  • create formulas that perform calculations in a workbook
  • select ranges of cells in a workbook
  • copy and fill data in a workbook
  • create and work with functions in a workbook
  • print data in a workbook
  • use the various printing features to produce a variety of reports
  • create a variety of charts (graphs) in Excel
  • enhance charts that you create in Excel
