Overview
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to group and link your information and explore it through ‘find’ features, queries, models and charts. Presenting your information in reports is also covered. Time is allocated to discuss efficient node hierarchies and structures and you will also practice what you’ve learnt in your own project.
Intended Outcomes
At the end of this workshop, you should be able to use Nvivo 9 effectively.
Course Content
This workshop follows on from the Nvivo 9 Basics which helps you to get started with Nvivo.

- Building and working with models as a way to display ideas
- Creating and showing relationships in your data
Grouping your data: collections and links
- Finding items in your project quickly and easily
- Creating links in your data
Exploring your data
- Running coding based queries including coding, matrix coding, and grouped queries
- Saving queries and storing your results
Visualizing your data
- Presenting query results as ‘tree maps' and ‘word trees' to show patterns in your data
Reporting and presenting your findings
- Creating standard and customizable reports and extracts
