Upgrade to Office & Word 2007

All staff who have been using Microsoft Word 2003 on a daily basis.

This workshop assumes a participant is familiar with the functions of page layout, mail merge and document layout.

Overview

This course is designed to fast-track participants in navigating and using the new format of Office 2007 and Microsoft Word 2007.

Intended Outcomes

To enable you to quickly become profficient  in the use of Microsoft Office and Word 2007 and common functions used.

Course Content

On completion of this course participants will:

  • gain an understanding of the Office Button menu and associated functions
  • gain an understanding of the new features in Word 2007
  • learn how to use the compatibility checker
  • gain an understanding of Word 2007 preferences
  • gain an understanding of tabs on the Word 2007 Ribbon
  • gain an understanding of contextual tabs on the Word 2007 Ribbon
  • learn how to use  the Quick Styles Gallery and style sets
  • learn how to use table styles and change the layout of a table
  • gain an understanding of how the mail merging process works
  • gain an understanding of AutoCorrect
