Overview
This program focuses on skills, understandings and roles critical to effective leaders in organisations of today and the future.
Intended Outcomes
The outcomes of this program are intended to give participants the skills to manage complex situations and extend their management and leadership skills. You will understand why change can be so difficult and understand strategies for helping change efforts.
Course Content
By examining change from both a systems and non-systems point of view, you will develop an ability to analyse various change implementation models and choose the most effective path for the changes you are about to manage. There will be a focus on systems thinking, however other 'n' step models of change will also be presented. We will spend time understanding the reasons why people resist change and how the various models can help overcome that resistance. The session will contain discussion and case study work.
Learning Approach
This program will be using the strategies of presentation, discussion, video input and practical case studies and skill practice. Participants will work in teams using an action learning methodology.
Handouts
A comprehensive set of workshop notes will be distributed showing all content areas as well as activities and exercises.
