Overview
This three hour workshop is designed to explore individual staff members' understanding of work life issues. It will offer participants the opportunity to examine some of the issues associated with achieving Work Life balance, and explore workplace flexibility options available at Monash. The training is in accordance with the Monash Work Life Strategy.

- Know your rights and obligations
- Taking responsibility for your own work life balance
- Know how to prepare a Work Life Proposal

- Detailed overview of the flexible work options and initiatives Monash offers
- Policies and entitlements
- What is 'balance', how can you get there from here?
- The 'big issues': what can and can't be changed - taking responsibility for your own work life balance
- The decision making process
- Case studies
Learning Approach
This interactive session uses a case study approach to assist participants applying the University's Work Life Strategy. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.
