Overview

This course is designed to provide Emergency Wardens and Building Wardens with the skills to successfully conduct a building evacuation, introduce staff members to the fundamentals of fire prevention and to plan action in the event of a fire. The course provides instruction and practical experience in the selection and use of portable fire extinguishers.

Intended Outcomes

  • provide emergency wardens with the skills to safely conduct a building evacuation
  • provide instruction to Building wardens on evacuation process
  • participants should understand the fundamentals of fire prevention and how to plan action in the event of a fire
  • course also provides practical experience in the selection and use of portable fire extinguishers
