Fire and Emergency Training Simulator
In partnership with Parasol, Staff Development and OH&S are hosting a Fire and Emergency Training Simulator for interested staff and students.
Familiarise yourself, your team with simulated fire situations that are intense and realistic yet completely safe. Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance.
Note: Attendance at this session is not a replacement to attending the Fire Safety & Extinguisher training or the Emergency Warden training & Fire Safety at Work workshops.
Participants will be able to:
- Step inside a realistic simulator and discover how to manage stove fires, smoking toaster and sparking microwave emergencies.
- Move into the industrial room and experience an arching switchboard that ignites a parts washer and then a trash can
- Experience heat and smoke as you battle this emergency and
- Experience what it feels like to be inside your home during a cyclone.
Participant numbers There is a limit of 20 participants per session. Sessions are 1 hour in duration.
Date, Time & Location: Tuesday 27 September, 2011. Training will take place at SE4 the gravel car park along Wellington Road on the Clayton Campus.
