Overview

Gas cylinders are a common feature in the university workplace and pose hazards such as asphyxiation, high pressures and manual handling. This training is designed to heighten the awareness of the user as well as those in control of the workplace, keeping them up to date with Monash requirements and Victorian legislation.

Intended Outcomes

Develop an understanding of the dangers of Gas cylinders and how to use them safety in the workplace.

Learning Approach

Lecture format reinforcing through the use of examples and discussion of local workplace gas cylinder hazards and mitigation using Monash systems and the hierarchy of control.
