Overview

This program is designed to provide academic staff with an introduction to the Performance Development Process for academic staff and the Performance Development Online (PDO) system.  This session is suitable for new academic staff and existing academic staff who want a refresher.

Intended Outcomes

Upon completion of this program participants will:

  • be aware of the principles of the Performance Development Process for academic staff;
  • know what their performance development responsibilities are;
  • understand the essential steps and functions of the Performance Development Online (PDO) system; and
  • know where to go for information and advice about the process and PDO system

Course Content

Information includes:

  • principles of the Performance Development Process: Academic Staff
  • navigating through the online system (PDO)
  • completing a plan on PDO
  • useful tips and hints on using PDO
  • where to go to for system help
  • where to go for further information on the performance development process

Learning Approach

This is a one hour briefing session with demonstration of the ‘live' online system (PDO).

A PDO Essentials reference card will be provided to all attendees.
