Framework of Performance Management/Enhancement at MonashAn overall framework for performance management has been developed by the University. Under the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and General Staff) 2005 and the relevant AWA Terms and Benefits Policies, the University has two separate but linked performance management schemes covering the majority of its staff, one scheme for academic staff and one scheme covering general staff. Under the Monash University Enterprise Agreements (Trades and Services Staff - Building and Metal Trades Staff and Grounds and Gardening Staff, the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Trades and Services Staff, Catering and Retail, Cleaning and Caretaking, and Miscellaneous Services Staff) 2005 and the relevant AWA Terms and Benefits Policies, the University has a performance enhancement scheme for trades and services staff. All schemes are based on a process whereby supervisors and staff set work goals for the planning cycle and identify development opportunities which are aligned with the work goals. All schemes involve an active partnership between supervisors and staff and provide for ongoing communication and feedback.
