| Target group: | Research administrative staff who are required to enter research ethics data for their work unit.
Note: Currently Monash University RM4 Ethics Research Office ethics and compliance staff only. In the future it is envisaged that committee members may have at least read-only access as well - however there is no timeframe for this as yet.

Overview
The focus of this workshop is to provide new users of the ResearchMaster Database (RM4) with the skills required to be able to enter research ethics and compliance data using the RM4 client application. Inherent with this must be an understanding of the various rules and processes involved in Ethics and Compliance administration.
Intended Outcomes

experience using the Ethics Module of the ResearchMaster (RM4) client application

familiarity with the ResearchMaster (RM4) client application's user interface

to be able to run simple queries within the ResearchMaster Database's Ethics Module

competency in entering the required data into the various screens and fields of the ResearchMaster application's Ethics module
Course Content
On completion of this workshop participants will:

have experience entering a grant application record into ResearchMaster's Ethics module

be able to set under-configurable options and preferences

be able to run simple queries to return Ethics data

be aware of the significant amount of record-keeping potentially involved in maintaining an ethics application record
