Overview

The PWI also has limited filtering capability in the form of simple searches which can be entered and issued from the application's Home page. This functionality is also examined in some detail.
Intended Outcomes
-
experience using ResearchMaster's Publication Web Interface (PWI) application
-
familiarity with the PWI's user interface
-
to be able to construct and run queries within the ResearchMaster Database's Publications Module using the search functionality of the PWI
-
to be able to present the data returns from a query in each of the five available formats
Course Content
On completion of this workshop participants will:
-
have experience using ResearchMaster's Publications Web Interface (PWI) application
-
be able to set user-configurable options and preferences
-
have the skills necessary to construct and run queries to return research publication's data of interest, within the constraints of a user's access permission
-
understand what output formats are available, as provided by the application
-
be able to select a suitable report from a list of available reports
Note: It is recongnised that ResearchMaster's Publications Web Interface is particularly suited to data entry - while querying and reporting is somewhat limited in comparison to the RM4 client application.
