Staff Selection Excellence

Target group:

All staff involved in the selection process.

Group size:Maximum 16
Level 2 program:

Suitable for staff with limited experience or staff wishing to refresh their skills or those staff new to Monash who wish to understand the Monash view of Selection excellence.

This workshop will cover the stages between the short listing of candidates through to making an employment offer and providing feedback to unsuccessful candidates.

Completion of this module qualifies you to serve as a chair or member of a selection panel at Monash.

Overview

This one day module is aimed at staff involved in the selection process. Completion of this module is a requirement for staff who will serve as a chair or member of a selection panel at Monash.

This module explores contemporary approaches and issues associated with selection and outlines the key stages in the selection process at Monash University.

Learning Approach

This module utilises small group work, discussion and presentations to actively engage participants with the content. Participants are encouraged to share previous experiences and learn from each other. Learning is further supported by the use of a range of contemporary DVDs and presentations by Monash staff with selection expertise.
