Overview

To provide staff both academic and general who are new to Monash University with a general overview of information on Student Administration activities and procedures.

Course Content

The workshop aims to cover the following areas in Student Administration, Systems and Client Services:

  • Organisational context - HESA, ESOS, and the Monash policy framework
  • The Student Administration Cycle
  • Admissions, including admission types
  • Courses and units, including publishing obligations
  • Enrolments, including EFTSL and credit points, teaching calendars and census dates
  • Fees and refunds
  • Scholarships, sponsorships and special course arrangements
  • Student statuses
  • Student records
  • Exams, results and graduations
  • Resources and support
