Overview
The ESOS Act and associated National Code place obligations on all providers of courses to overseas students in Australia. The workshop will outline what these obligations are, what key ESOS information staff need to be aware of and what processes need to be followed to ensure compliance.
Intended Outcomes
To better understand:
- What ESOS is and why it was introduced
- The key ESOS obligations of providers
- The specific obligations of Faculties, Enrolments, Client Services, Student Administration, Recruitment and Marketing and Monash International
- What Monash policies and procedures are in place to meet these obligations
- The Monash ESOS compliance framework
- The likely direction of future ESOS policy (as signalled by the ESOS Evaluation report)

Learning Approach
The workshop will be delivered using a combination of methods including theoretical sessions, discussion and exercises.
