John Monash Science SchoolThe John Monash Science School is an exciting joint initiative between Monash University and the Victorian Government’s Department of Education. The School will be fully funded and operated by the Department of Education. It will focus on mathematics, science and technology education. When fully operational it will cater for more than 600 senior secondary school students in Years 10 – 12. Monash’s Clayton Campus lies at the centre of Victoria’s growing science and technology hub, incorporating the University, the synchrotron and a growing industry base with an R&D focus. The John Monash Science School will be built on this Campus in close proximity to Monash’s Science, Technology, Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP) and the Science Faculty. The John Monash Science School is currently in the design stage which will be completed in late 2007. It is expected that construction will take place in 2008-2009 and the School will commence teaching in 2010. Why Build the John Monash Science School? Why Build the School at Monash University?
