Resignation

A staff member wishing to resign from the University should give notice in writing of his/her intention to resign. Different notice requirements apply to different positions, as set out below.

Upon receipt of notice of resignation, the Organisational Unit should arrange for a Notice of Resignation Form to be completed and forwarded to Human Resources immediately. Prompt action ensures that salary overpayment does not occur. The form must be signed by the staff member, the staff member’s supervisor and Dean or Head of Organisational Unit.

Once a Notice of Resignation form is received, Human Resources will forward a confirmation of resignation letter to the resigning staff member, detailing any final entitlements on termination and information about superannuation.
