Advising unsuccessful candidates (not short listed)

Once the short-list is finalised, unsuccessful applicants should be advised as quickly as possible. The simplest way for the committee to advise applicants is in writing (sample letter).

The selection committee may wish to refrain from sending this letter to applicants who were close to being short-listed until the interviews are held and an offer of appointment is accepted by the successful candidate.
