Annual leave on resignation

On resignation a staff member should, where possible, take outstanding leave during the period of notice.

A completed "Notification of Resignation" form should be submitted to the Human Resources Division through the authorising officer indicating whether leave will be taken during the notice period and attaching a leave form where appropriate. Copies of the forms may be obtained from administrative unit offices, the Human Resources forms page or the Human Resources Division, Clayton campus.

Payment of annual leave on termination

Refer to Clause 36.2 - Application of Annual Leave of the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and General Staff) 2005 or, where applicable, the provisions of the relevant AWA Terms and Benefits Policy.

Except in the case of AWAs entered into on or after 27 March 2006, the University will not be liable for payment in lieu of annual leave in excess of the relevant maximum entitlement in the event of a staff member ceasing employment with the University.
