Taking of annual leave

The Head of Administrative Unit is responsible for ensuring that accrued total entitlements do not exceed 30 days, subject to the maximum entitlements prescribed for 7 - day shift workers. Refer Schedule 5 (a) - Leave Entitlements of the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and General Staff) 2005 or , where applicable, the provisions of the relevant AWA Terms and Benefits Policy.  Provided that a maximum accrual of 40 days applies for AWAs entered into on or after 27 March 2006.   

Each year 20 days annual leave should be taken and all leave should be taken within the period of an appointment, where possible.
