For the purposes of clauses 74.3-74.4 of the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and General Staff) 2005 and the shift penalty provisions of the university's relevant AWA Terms and Benefits Policies, "ordinary rate" includes any higher duties allowance paid to a general staff member undertaking higher duties during the performance of shift work.
