Workforce Management Policy

Preamble

The University acknowledges the importance of breastfeeding for both mother and baby and the following guidelines specify the principles which should be adhered to by all those responsible for the implementation of the Workforce Management Procedure – Work Life (Breastfeeding) and to whom that procedure applies.

Principles

The University:

  • recognises the important role of women in all its operations and seeks to provide policy and services that support their continuing employment;
  • supports staff with family responsibilities; and
  • promotes equal opportunity and global principles of equity in employment
