Requests to Bring Children into WorkplacesStaff requests to bring children into workplaces are preferably to be submitted for approval in advance. No reasonable request should be refused. Provision for a sick child should normally be made within the context of carer’s leave, compassionate leave, annual leave, and/or special paid or unpaid leave. Responsibilities of Staff Bringing Children into WorkplacesStaff bringing children into workplaces should recognise and be sensitive to the needs of other staff members, and should not expect other staff members to care for those children.
