Background
The Go8 universities coalition has developed a 'Future Research Leaders’ Program' to support the development of Australia's future research leaders.
At Monash the program is supported by the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and co-ordinated by Leadership and Management Development in Human Resources.
What is the aim?
-
To enhance the careers of research staff
-
To develop the next generation of Australian research leaders
-
To increase university success in research
-
To stimulate Australia’s research competitiveness
This program is designed to be tailored by each institution. Each module offers Monash-specific information and resources, within a broader higher education context. It will provide structured professional development for emerging researchers in Australia.
What is the format?
Each of the program modules is comprised of online learning materials and activities and supported by a face-to-face workshop.
All workshops are run by a facilitator and include group exercises, and presentations or question-and-answer sessions by Monash content experts.
All FRLP modules may be undertaken individually, although participants may find that more than one module is relevant to their needs.
